Relax & Disconnect

It’s that time of year again - where we reflect on how far we’ve come, accepting the challenges (and blessings) this year has brought us to shape the person we are today. The greatest version of yourself is strengthened when you take time to reflect and relax so that you can see your current reality with a fresh, but gentle perspective.


Here are some tips you can implement to jump start your intentions for the new year:


Change Your Environment:

A change from city life, suburban life, or even moving around your workspace can make you instantly feel at peace. Book a spa day, plan a stay-vacation, or simply do something that’s outside of your normal routine. A therapeutic massage, a walk in the park, or catching up with a friend over coffee might just be exactly what you need to think clearer and be more productive for 2022.


Practice Gratitude:

Practicing gratitude can be your biggest flex of 2022 and trust us, it has reaching effects. From improving your mental health to boosting your relationships with others, a simple gratitude exercise can drastically change your outlook. 


A technique we’ve found very useful this year is starting your day and ending your night by writing down 3 things you’re grateful for. They don’t have to be anything extravagant, being grateful for your morning cup of coffee will do just fine. By making this a habit, you’ll be rewiring your mind to instantly think about your blessings as opposed to the massive amounts of to-dos you have to accomplish. Not only will this reinstill gratitude into your life, but you will have written proof on the positive things that are going for you on days when you really need them. 


Unplug, unplug, unplug!

Make unplugging from technology and social media a reality in your life, and when you do, you’ll immediately notice the drastic change in your life. Watch your sleep schedule, mental health, and brain power improve seemingly overnight. Our brains need time to recharge from information overload, just as any other body part would. Meditate, enjoy family activities, be in the moment with your loved ones, and simply embrace any activity you find relaxing. 


Instead of resolutions make relaxation and disconnecting an intention for 2022, and watch how your mind and soul regenerate into making you the best version of yourself this year.
